Yoga Teacher Training Program
Registration for 2010 Yoga Teacher Training Classes has begun.

Whether you are interested in deepening your own practice or you feel the call to teach, the Birmingham Yoga Teacher Training program is committed to the personal success of each individual.
Students are encouraged to engage in self-inquiry--svadhyaya--and through the ten-month program further cultivate their self-knowledge. The program will broaden your perspective of yoga and will transform you on every level--physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
The training is 200 hour yoga teacher training certification program specifically designed to provide a rich environment for learning. Within this training you will discover a strong foundation of acquiring knowledge, utilizing teaching methods, experiencing asana, and consistently applying the principles of the eight-limb path. You will have the opportunity to deepen both your asana and meditation practice and the practice of yoga in your daily life. This program prepares you to instruct Level 1 and Level 2 classes. Birmingham Yoga Teacher Training program is a Registered School with Yoga Alliance.

The business of yoga
Tuition includes 180 classroom hours. Students must complete an additional 20 workshop hours, cultivate a daily personal practice, attend a weekly public class and observe or assist a class once a month with a qualified teacher totaling 500 hours.
Training sesions will meet once and in some cases 2x each month, on Saturdays from noon-8 pm and Sundays from 8 am - 3 pm (there may some weekends that include a 2 hour Friday evening class).
